Hasbro and EA Mobile team up for more iPhone boardgames
Connect 4, Battleship and Monopoly rolling the dice on the App Store
EA Mobile struck up a deal with boardgame and toy giant Hasbro back at the beginning of 2008, and spoke out a little over a year ago about the general crap-iness of licensed games, pledging only the highest quality conversions of its new licences.
And for the most part EA Mobile has kept that promise, and is set to continue its partnership with Hasbro on the iPhone by releasing three more classic board games - Connect 4, Battleship and yet another Monopoly.
There's already a good supply of traditional Hasbro boardgame adaptations on the App Store, such as The Game of Life, Boggle, Monopoly Here & Now, Trivial Pursuit, Cluedo and Scrabble, so these latest additions will pretty much complete Hasbro's digitisation.
EA Mobile promises the usual quality of conversion, with wi-fi multiplayer, accelerometer dice rolling and plenty of posh graphics and animation to help these typically static games jump off the screen a bit more.
No word on release dates for the Connect 4, Battleship or Monopoly apps as yet, but stay tuned for more news as it comes in.
