We heard last week over on our sister sitePocketGamer.biz that French iPhone developer Bulkypix was branching out into iPhone publishing, and its first externally developed title has just been announced.

"We are excited to publish Dancing Dots games on iPhone," says Bulkypix COO Vincent Dondaine. "They have a lot of background in the game industry and know how to make great games. iWaterFlow is going to be the first one to come. It is crazy addictive and as soon as you start this game it will be really hard to stop!"

Developed by another French studio, Dancing Dots, iWaterFlow is a digital recreation of the popular, water-filled mechanical toy, in which you aim to coax rings onto spikes using jets of water to buffer them around. The game will also include 17 unlockable achievements to test your dexterity and "bring out the child in you".

In an effort to galvanise its range of published products, Bulkypix is standardising its games around the OpenFeint social network, so hopefully we'll also see some online scores for these achievements.

"Dancing Dots was looking for a publisher for our first iPhone/iPod indie title. BulkyPix turned out to be our best opportunity, by far," concludes Dancing Dots's managing director, Martial Hesse-Dréville.

"Respective of our creative work, knowing the App Store market inside out, and having successfully published several titles, Bulkypix is for sure one of the emerging first class App Store publisher."

Spanner Spencer
Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
