Apple leads Silicon Valley to greener pastures

Apple makes eco-commitment, slaps US Chamber of Commerce

While it's not something that's likely to have much of an effect on Apple's gaming output, it's an interesting turn of events to hear to that the iPhone manufacturer has openly and publicly slapped down the US Chamber of Commerce over its lax stance on greenhouse gas emissions.

While several other corporations have refused to renew their membership over similar eco-issues, Apple is the first technology company to abandon support of the Chamber of Commerce, and the first company to terminate its membership before renewal.

It's quite a PR blow for the Chamber of Commerce, which has struck back at Apple equally publicly, though without the same environmental message to provide a similar impact of Apple's withdrawal.

Eco-awareness is a huge issue in Silicon Valley, as many of the technology companies based there see it as a matter of corporate pride to actively lead the way in all areas of social advancement.

That Apple has aggressively disassociated itself with the Chamber of Commerce over its refusal to support the capping of greenhouse gas emissions will likely have other companies looking to make a similar gesture.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
