Level 5, the developer in collaboration with Studio Ghibli, has announced its DS game requires the highest capacity cart of any game so far.

Weighing in at over 4Gb (that's around 512MB, in real money), the Ninokuni: The Another World cart is pretty hefty. Why? To accommodate Joe Hisaishi's soundtrack, of course.

If you're wondering who that is, he's the man responsible for the remarkable orchestral scores in the animated films Princess Mononoke and Ponyo, and it would seem he's been drafted in to help ensure the brilliance of the forthcoming Studio Ghibli DS game.

As with its films, quality was always going to be the order of the day, so it's no surprise to see the first Ghibli DS offering is looking to be a very pretty fantasy game of grand scope.

Let's just hope as much care is put into the rest of the game, because when it comes to Studio Ghibli we expect no less.

Still no word on a release date.
