Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks coming to European DS December 11th

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is arguably the most hotly anticipated title coming to the DS this Christmas. Its expected arrival in Europe, Nintendo has finally revealed, is December 11th. That's just four days after the US release.

If you've not heard, the game is a direct follow-on from the remarkable Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. This time around, though, instead of a boat you control a steam train. Chugging along through Link’s world you must chart a course to the end of the line past all manner of obstacles and enemies that will try to thwart your journey.

In keeping with the theme of the game this is not the first time an ETA has been announced. However, the confirmation of this European release comes as part of a massive autumn/winter schedule announced by Nintendo and so should be fairly definitive. Let’s just hope there are no leaves on the line.

Until then, check out our Zelda: Spirit Tracks preview.
