Fullmetal Fortress trundles out onto mobile

Russian mobile developer Qplaze is gearing up to set your mobile ablaze with its high-octane new mobile shooter Fullmetal Fortress, which appears to provide a new take on the scrolling shooter.

The city is under attack, and it's your job to repel the well-armoured invaders. The difference in Fullmetal Fortress is that rather than you scrolling steadily up the screen as you attempt to penetrate the opposition's vast army of drones and bosses, the enemy is coming to you.

Much in the style of Space Invaders, your eponymous armoured fortress is mounted on a track at the bottom of the screen, and zooming up and down it while sending off volleys of of anti-tank shells, bullets and missiles.

Developer Qplaze promises a simple and immediately accessible game, with a huge diversity of enemies to keep you occupied.

Fullmetal Fortress should be with us soon, so stay tuned for more info.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
