In a conversation with Gameloft following Apple's It's Only Rock and Roll press event today, we were able to get more specific details regarding the company's sci-fi shooter N.O.V.A.

As reported earlier, the game will include multiplayer via wi-fi and Bluetooth. We can confirm two modes of play: deathmatch and team deathmatch.

More surprising is the revelation that N.O.V.A. will support voice chat.

We can also confirm that the game will feature push notifications, although we don't know exactly whether these will be challenges, leaderboard updates, or some other type of information.

Gameloft affirmed that a single player story-driven campaign is planned that spans "dozens of levels."

A total of five weapons can be equipped through the course of the campaign.

N.O.V.A. is being slated for arrival on the App Store sometime during the holiday season.
