Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days gets US release on PSP

The surreal and vaguely unpronounceable Disgaea franchise is a serial award winner here at Pocket Gamer, with the first PSP game Afternoon of Darkness picking up the prestigious Platinum Award while the DS title landed an admirable Gold.

We've been perched on the edge of our for the longest afternoon of our lives, waiting for the highly anticipated sequel to receive a Western release on Sony's handheld.

Although European territories are still balancing on our chairs, our US gaming cousins can rejoice today as Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days hits the shelves.

Dark Hero Days includes new skills, new items and a revised battle system, while the storyline introduces a new main character called Axel as you travel the Netherworld to put down the tyranny of Overlord Zenon.

Hopefully the SRPG sequel won't be too far from UK and European shores, so watch this space for more Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days news as we get it.
