The other day we brought you the happy news that an Okami sequel is coming to DS. Okamiden: Chisaki Taiyou takes place a few months after the events depicted in the acclaimed PlayStation 2 and Wii game, and features Amaterasu, the lupine star of the first game, along with a second wolf called Chibiterasu.
The latter is juvenile, and therefore adorable.
Perhaps worryingly, Okamiden is being made not by the developer of the original Okami, but by Motohide Eshiro and Kuniomi Matsushita, responsible for the Ace Attourney series and the Wii Okami port respectively.
Still, it’s all looking fairly promising at the moment, if only by virtue of the fact that it belongs to one of modern gaming’s most venerated franchises. Capcom will be showing it off at the forthcoming Tokyo Game Show, and it’s released a trailer on its website to get us all going.
