Modern Combat: Sandstorm now liberating App Store

Solve the terrorist threat with extreme prejudice

Modern Combat: Sandstorm now liberating App Store

Gameloft's much anticipated military first-person shooter Modern Combat: Sandstorm is now available on App Store.

It didn't quite make its planned 1st September deployment but now you can get your hands on the 10 missions set in Middle Eastern environments such as a hospital, sewer, port facility and training camp.

Of course, you're part of an elite unit out to take down a new terrorist cell, and you're armed to the teeth with assault rifles, shotgun, RPG, machine guns, and grenades.

You can fire using open iron sights or the more precise sniper mode.

Control comes in various forms including virtual D-pads, and screen tap mode.

However as there's no mention of IEDs, failed elections, official corruption or collateral civilian damage, we have to question Gameloft's claim that the game is providing us with "full immersion into the military experience and high intensity combat".

Modern Combat: Sandstorm is out now, priced $6.99, €5.49 or £3.99. Hit the Buy It! button to receive your call up papers.
