Enigmo 2 released on iPhone
Award winning puzzle game gets a new dimension
Enigmo was one of the App Store's first success stories, with awards and praise being showered on this unique touchscreen puzzle just as the iPhone craze was ramping up.
Indeed, its creator Pangea Software was very much blazing a trail for Apple's platform, with games like Billy Frontier, Cro-Mag Rally and Bugdom 2 tinkering with the possibilities of this brave new frontier.
It's been quiet for a while, however, until Enigmo 2 appeared on the App Store last night. This long-awaited sequel follows a similar gameplay pattern, with streams of water, plasma and lasers falling around the complex constructs of its levels, but we now have a new dimension to contend with.
Enigmo 2 has gone 3D, and also includes new gameplay elements like gravetoids, teleporters and gravity inverters. It also makes specific use of the iPhone 3GS's improved hardware, so look out for graphical and performance tweaks if you're suitably equipped.
Here's Pangea's president Brian Greenstone to tell you more about it.
