Nintendo might not have said anything to the press concerning the line-up of games for DSiWare but it's certainly talking to plenty of developers behind the scenes.

Heck, it's even talking to Big John Games...

Which was our response too. Who is Big John Games?

Not to be overly mean to the Edina, Minnesota studio, which has been around for over 15 years and most recently shipped Plushees DS and Spitfire Heroes DS for budget US publisher Destineer, but it's hardly a well known developer.

It has just announced arcade shooter Thorium Wars is coming to DSiWare, though.

Which makes us think: if Big John Games is coming to the indie DSiWare party, when Nintendo does get around to releasing its list of forthcoming games for DSiWare it's going to be one mighty long list.

As for the details of Thorium Wars, it looks like a standard arcade shooter that has you fighting waves of alien beasts in a variety of tanks and planes. In total, there will be five different vehicles to control and 12 missions.

The official website is here. Thorium Wars is due out on DSiWare some time in September, probably for 500 Nintendo Points ($5, £4.50).

The only other question will be whether it will be released in Europe or just the US. We await Nintendo's big list to find out.
