Flatscreen with built-in Apple TV to sync with iPhone?

ITV had better make sure its copyright is solid

Flatscreen with built-in Apple TV to sync with iPhone?

Over on CCNMoney, analyst Gene Munster has been contemplating the possibility that Apple is putting together a concept television with an integrated Apple TV system, which in itself isn't overly special.

But, knowing Apple, such a telly wouldn't simply be your standard HD flatscreen with an Apple tuner inside - it'd be loaded with fruity technological goodness as only Cupertino knows how.

Munster speculates that this iTV (it's going to need a different name over here, presumably) would wirelessly sync with iPods and iPhones (and MacBooks, presumably), potentially allowing you to watch your stored videos and stream your playlists.

But, should Apple TV expand into the living room console with full access to the App Store, as has been suggested, this TV could easily become a central media and gaming hub.

It also stands to reason that you'd be able to control the TV and any games using the iPhone/iPod touch as a wireless, motion sensitive controller, and potentially play your iPhone games on the big screen.

According to Munster this iTV is a couple of years off, but the concept is an undeniably interesting one. Your thoughts on the back of a postcard, please.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
