It's the sort of loss leading that will have specialist and indie game retailers up in arms about the massive buying power of the UK's supermarket giants, but Tesco direct is currently listing the PSPgo for sale in the UK at £199.97.

As far as we can make out, the offer - which works out at a 10 percent discount - is only for pre-orders.

There's been some confusion over Sony's recommended retail price but this week it was dropped from £229.99 to £224.99.

Obviously shops can sell at whatever price they want to.

Tesco direct has the RRP marked at £249.97 though, suggesting you're making a £50 rather than a £25 saving.

And, for some reason, it also has the launch date listed as Friday 2nd October rather than the official Thursday 1st October, so it's possible you'll get your PSPgo a day late.

As a comparison, specialist online sites GAME and Play.com list PSPgo pre-orders at £224.99, while Amazon lists it at the old price of £229.96.
