Freddie Flintoff Cricket '09 bowls over the iPhone

Not bad for a fat lad

Freddie Flintoff Cricket '09 bowls over the iPhone

Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff is perhaps best known as joint winner of the Beard of the Year 2004 award (along with NATFHE union leader Paul Mackney), but he's also proven himself to be handy with the willow and leather.

Therefore, Sports Central has whipped up Freddie Flintoff Cricket '09 for the iPhone just in time for the Ashes final test, helping to spread support for the Lancashire-born fat lad.

As Mobile-Ent points out, this is one of several cricket games appearing at the moment, but the only one to bring Freddie to the popular handheld platform as he begins the final test of his celebrated career at The Oval.

But with the real sport out of the way, hopefully Flintoff will be able to focus on real games, and get his face on a few more iPhone and mobile titles.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
