Manomio making progress with iPhone C64 emulator

Pocket Gamer broke the news on Flashback developer Manomio putting together a fully functional and official licensed C64 emulator for the iPhone back in June, though as everyone expected it's been a rough ride for the application.
But according to Manomio's Twitter feed, it looks as though it may finally be making some progress.
"C64 for iPhone UPDATE: Contacted by senior director at Apple today and we have BIG news coming. Thank you to EVERYONE for the support," the micro-blog reads.
Without wanting to jinx it, things are apparently looking quite hopeful. We've been chatting with Manomio, and should have some hot news for you very soon. Stay tuned.
