Plenty of consoles franchises have made their way to PSP, but none are quite as unexpected as The Eye of Judgment.

Revealed during Sony's press conference kicking off GamesCom in Germany, the PlayStation 3 card battler is coming to PSP.

While details are scarce, we know that the game will employ the Go!Cam for scanning actual cards used in battle. The technology isn't entirely new, as a similar game featuring Pokemon-style creatures called Invizimals was shown behind closed doors during E3.

Similar to the console version, you play cards by placing them in front of the camera which then activates a nifty 3D creature on the screen. Cards can only be used in battle that have been registered with your copy of the game, which is done by scanning them with the camera.

No word on whether The Eye of Judgment on PSP will enable you to utilise cards purchased for the PlayStation 3 version.

When the doors to GamesCom open tomorrow, we'll be checking out The Eye of Judgment so look for impressions soon.
