Interactive slasher flick Scream in the Dark coming to iPhone
Touch of evil
French developers love making scary interactive adventures.
BulkyPix was first off the blocks with Hysteria Project and now their countrymen at Little World Studio have announced Scream in the Dark, the first interactive film on iPhone for B-movie fans.
The point of the game - rather like Hysteria Project, in fact - is to escape the clutches of a mysterious serial killer by making the right choices at the right time.
Or as the game's marketing tag puts it, 'You can play as a bimbo in a Z movie and perhaps survive longer than 5 minutes...'
In total, the episodic game will include more than 20 minutes of video footage, including various bonus features.
And, ensuring bloody fun for friends and family, the high score system means you can compare your techniques with fellow survivors. This sort of social networking will also be encouraged as you can vote for which serial killer you'll like to struggle with in the next episode via its Facebook application.
The current three options are: Igor, see his hammer? Your nuts are gone!; Helmut: Schwarzwald Chainsaw massacre? No more bush!; and Logan: Rock, axe and fun!
You can find out more via the official website.
Scream in the Dark Episode 1 is due to be live (or perhaps half-dead) on the App Store on 21 August 2009.
