ngmoco gives Dropship away for free on App Store

There are so many titles on the App Store that need championing, and only so many hours in the day.

Here’s another that’s worthy of a mention - Dropship from ngmoco, which has just been made available for free. It’s one of the publisher’s earlier titles, but it’s a fun take on the classic Lunar Lander template.

Like that retro classic, you have to manoeuvre a little space craft using limited bursts of thrust, allowing gravity and inertia to do the rest. Dropship spices that up a bit by introducing a shoot ‘em up element, requiring you to take out enemy defences as you swoop in to make your pick-ups.

Dropship was a decent little game when you had to pay for it, so it’s practically a must-have now that you don’t.
