It seems you can't have too much of a good thing, at least when it comes to the likes of Pocket God and Doodle Jump.

The massively popular iPhone games have already got all self-referential.

Episode 22 of Pocket God introduced Ooga Jump, which spliced in the gameplay of Doodle Jump, letting you take your pygmies to the air by bouncing them on clouds, in the same way you bounce on platforms in Doodle Jump.

Episode 23 of Pocket God - called Bait Master - was a homage to Harbor Master.

In return, episode 4 of Harbor Master - Pocket God Attacks! - includes the pygmy characters from Pocket God.

Ageing tower defence game The Creeps has re-entered the US App Store 100 thanks to the inclusion of an unlockable Doodle Jump-themed tower unit. It's currently sitting at #51 in the chart.

A previous update also included the pygmies from Pocket God.

Throw into the mix the ongoing mash-up between Lizzy the Lizard from Illusion Labs's Sway and John Gore from Mountain Sheep's Minigore, and it seems like this developers' love-in has a lot further to go.

Maybe some of our Top 10 iPhone mash-ups we'd love to see will even come true.
