Considering there were sceptics within German developer FDG who thought Parachute Panic wouldn't be much fun, the news that the 99c/59p game has sold over 100,000 copies must come as sobering news.

We bet they'll be making the coffee for the next month.

To further support the fans, and future sales of course, the 1.1 update has just been released for the game that has you landing parachutists into passing boats while avoiding helicopter blades, UFOs, sharks and thunderclouds.

It adds a new Easy mode to help newbies get into action at a less challenging level. The overall balance has been tweaked and tips added to the loading screen.

And that won't be the end of it, either. FDG is already beavering away on the next update, which will include those all-important social networking features such as leaderboards and buddy lists, plus new gameplay features such as bonus objects and the chance to win extra lives.

Parachute Panic is available now from the App Store for 99c or 59p. Hit the Buy It! button to go directly there.
