Could Tom Clancy be ready to bite the Apple?

Gameloft planning more iPhone games built on Terminator Salvation engine

Appgamer has been chatting with Gameloft's Julian Stocker and Alexandra Pontikis, and it seems the conversation turned quickly toward the mobile developer's partnership with Ubisoft.

As we know, the two gaming powerhouses are both ruled over by the House of Guillemot, so it's not surprising that there's a close bond between Gameloft and Ubisoft, which recently got together on the iPhone for Assassin's Creed.

And it turns out that Gameloft has plans to make more use of the 3D engine powering its recent Terminator Salvation game, though it wouldn't confirm (or deny, mind you) whether or not this will include more big Ubisoft franchises. Tom Clancy, for instance.

Appgamer got a tantalising 'no comment' regarding the possibility of an iPhone version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, and given that Gameloft has brought a host of Splinter Cell games to the mobile platform already, it seems like the good money is on some top notch iPhone espionage.

More news as we get it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
