Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker set to break on the iPhone

I-play just dropped us a line to let us know that ultra-dynamic sports personality Ronnie O'Sullivan (from the benefit of American readers, the Alex Higgins of his generation) is bringing his popular mobile snooker franchise to the iPhone.

In Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker, you follow the rock star of the felt and balls from his early adolescent pro-am successes to becoming world champion in the Crucible Theatre.

The mobile versions have always featured some pretty impressive 3D visuals, and the iPhone version naturally builds on those foundation, adding in touchscreen controls to get you right on cue.

Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker should be with us next week, and has always scored highly with the annual mobile iterations, so we're expecting great things. Check out the teaser trailer below in the meantime, enthusiastically narrated by the pub athlete himself.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
