Nokia reveals new SMS notification service
Giving away a free game if you sign up
In a bid to promote its N-Gage gaming service (which is now labelled 'n Games' on our phone browser following a recent update), Nokia has set up a text messaging service that will keep Nokia gamers up to date on new releases. The service also promises to offer early access to demos.
As further incentive to sign up, Nokia is offering subscribers a free 30 day pass to play one of Dirk Dagger, Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep, or Mile High Pinball.
The company sent out emails to registered N-Gage users at around midnight featuring links to an opt-in form. Apparently it may take 60 days to initiate the service, so we could have a bit of a wait until the first batch of updates rolls out.
