Pocket Gamer iPhone forum gets a makeover

Calling all developers, readers and shouty, opinionated gamers! On the back of our forum’s continued growth, we thought it was high time we reined in the fast-galloping-out-of-control beast that is the iPhone section. So, to make things easier for everyone, we’ve divided it into five new sub-sections.

iPhone chat If you just want to chat generally about iPhone games, this is the place for you...

This one’s all in the title. If it’s about the iPhone and it doesn’t fit in any of the new sub-sections below, then you should probably be chatting about it here.

iPhone developer news This is the place for developers to peddle their wares and for the rest of you to tell them what you think...

It replaces the original ‘Direct from the developers’ section, complete with a new set of rules which means that all you need to do create new Topics and Posts in it, is register.

Now that it's in the iPhone parent section, developers and readers from the wider community will be able to thrash out their thoughts on iPhone gaming collectively, without any bothersome trudging between distant sections of the forum (or time-consuming user verification).

iPhone updates Do you make iPhone games? Want to let us know your game is getting an update? This is where to do it!

This is another one chiefly for developers, but if you are a regular reader and want to chat about an update, you can do it here too. Hopefully with an increased chance of a developer reading your masterful insights on how to improve their game.

Better still for developers, we’ll be using this section as the basis for part of a new weekly feature all about iPhone updates. So if you want the newest version of your game covered, you could do worse than post about it here.

iPhone Lite releases Got a Lite version of an iPhone game coming out? Tell us about it here...

Same as above, really, but with a Lite twist. If you're a developer that wants coverage of a new Lite version you're working on, posting it here is a very good idea. If you're gamer that just wants to discuss the Lite versions you hate, love or want, you can do that here, too.

iPhone friend codes This is where to exchange friend codes for multiplayer iPhone gaming - see you online...

Though we spend most of our time writing about games, we don’t mind playing them occasionally too. Better yet, we don’t mind playing them with like minded souls like yourselves. So if you want to exchange friend codes, organise a tournament or discuss multiplayer tactics, you can do all of that here.

This is just the first of several exciting new updates that are being wheeled into view over the next couple of weeks (including a new weekly commenting competition, which you will hear much more about very soon).
