Text message update service for N-Gage

If you’ve got an N-Gage equipped Nokia phone, you’ll be glad to hear it’s finally getting a small amount of attention intended to bring the beleaguered system in line with current smartphone gaming.

By subscribing to a new (free) service, Nokia will keep you updated about new game demos for your N-Gage handset. Not quite the auto-update feature of the App Store (although receiving 100 texts a minute from Apple would be kind of annoying), but still a good way to keep in touch with the N-Gage Arena.

And, as a sweetener for signing up, Nokia is offering you an unlock code for one of three hot games:Dirk Dagger, Creatures of the Deep and Mile High Pinball. Nice.

Do make sure you read through the tees and cees, though. Undoubtedly demo updates won’t be the only text messages you receive, though it’s a very tempting offer considering the quality of those freebie games.
