Gameloft kicks off its DSiWare campaign with Real Football 2009

The regular updating of the European DSi Shop can finally be said to be underway with the release of Gameloft's Real Football 2009, which follows on from last week's multiplayer-only Mixed Messages from Activision.

The question of whether we need to download Real Football 2009 from the DSi Shop, considering there's already Real Football 2009 DS, Real Football 2009 mobile, Real Football 2009 N-Gage and Real Football 2009 iPhone/iPod touch is another matter entirely.

Of course, Nintendo and Gameloft will point out that this version of the game enables you to take photos using the DSi's camera(s) and then wrap that image around a ball, or advertising hoarding, create a team flag, or put your face on a player.

As for more general details, as our recent hands-on suggested, it's a typical touchscreen football game with various match and training modes, and multiplayer for up to four players.

Real Football 2009 (DSiWare) is out now at the cost of 800 Nintendo Points (£7.20, €8). It will also use up 124 memory blocks.
