The real truth of the matter is the end user actually plays (or at least, samples) far more mobile games than most developers ever see.

So it seems only natural that mobile game ideas are going to creep into your mind from time to time, though most of us don't have the resources or expertise to make them come to life.

But developer and publisher MEDL Mobile has released an iPhone app called App Incubator, which serves as a submissions process for you to send in your game ideas. The best ones will receive a section of MEDL's $2.5 million funding to be made into iPhone, Android and/or Blackberry applications.

What's in it for you, you might rightly ask. Well, as originator of the idea, you'd land a righteous 25 per cent of the game's revenue, which is a decidedly fair slice of the digital pie.

"We expect to build hundreds of these apps in the coming months," says MEDL Mobile CEO Andrew Maltin. "Our goal is to make many people lots of money and bring a whole new influx of creativity to the mobile marketplace."

Head on over to the App Store and pick up App Incubator if you've got that killer idea that will make you a part of the iPhone gold rush.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
