Follow Ashton Kutcher on Twitter and appear in TheSims3

Right, so there’s an actor called Ashton Kutcher. He stars in a certain kind of film, and hosts a Candid Camera style show called Punk'd that abuses celebrities in such a way that that they can’t protest because to do so would make them seem churlish and ungrateful for their extra unsolicited airtime.

Mr Kutcher is on Twitter, and he’s involved in a highly public race with American news channel CNN to reach a million followers. Catching scent of this highly contemporary public contest, EA has decided to get in on the act by offering the millionth follower a place in TheSims3 and every EA release for 2009.

Which, to be fair, is a reasonable prize for clicking ‘follow’. As I write, Mr Kutcher (Twitter name: aplusk) is at 939,599. Not long to go, although I fear this competition is only going to slow his race down. After all, if the prize is for the millionth follower, surely there are tens of thousands of people waiting till the counter reaches 999,995.
