Baseball Superstars 2009 up to bat on Android
Eight million home runs and counting
Although it made its way onto the iPhone recently, UK pocket gamers have never really had the chance to get in on Gamevil’s massively successful Baseball Superstars action.
Admittedly, baseball isn’t exactly a popular sport over here (despite sports shops selling loads of baseball bats - I wonder what they’re used for?), but a good game is a good game, and the Baseball Superstars mobile series has shifted over eight million copies according to Gamevil marketing manager, Eusoon Han.
“Baseball Superstars has become our trademark game over the years. This is the second Baseball Superstars series we are launching on the Android Market, and we are excited to see where this will take us. The depth and details we've put into this game is beyond any other baseball game out in the market.”
In Baseball Superstars 2009, you can select from ten teams, four stadiums, and unlock 12 hidden characters. The game is a full baseball simulation, but also includes RPG elements where you can create players, manage teams, and enhance player’s abilities such as hitting, power and speed - either by training or by purchasing special items and equipment depending on their salary.
It’s out now on the Market, so keep an eye out for our full review on both the Android and iPhone.
