Isometric fighter is the hottest paid app

iDracula hits App Store number one spot

We announced iDracula at the beginning of February, after our exclusive chat with its publisher Chillingo about Zen Bound and Vector Tanks, so it’s great to see this hot little isometric shooter has battled its way to the incredibly prestigious number one spot on the App Store’s paid apps list.

The game pits you as a vampire hunter who’s had the tables turned, and has now become the hunted. It’s an intensive battle for survival against an onslaught of vampires, werewolves, witches, monsters and even the Big D himself.

Undoubtedly the bargain introductory price of just 59p has helped shunt iDracula to the top of the list, and it’s scheduled to increase before long, so don’t waste any time.

Updates are also imminent, which will deliver two new levels, a new game mode, new creatures and new weapons.

Getting to the top of the paid (and free, to be honest) app lists on iTunes is massively important for any game developer. Climbing those prestigious ranks is what made iShoot developer Ethan Nicholas rich, so the guys over at MoreGames are undoubtedly celebrating after such a successful weekend on the App Store.

Check out the gameplay video below, then don’t waste any more time hitting the 'Buy It!' button to get to the App Store for a taste of iDracula.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
