We’ve been chin wagging with Chillingo again after we heard about the developer’s new Space Bikers game the other day, and it seems the iPhone’s very much under the company’s spotlight at the moment.

Its hit RPG dungeon crawler The Quest is now being converted for release on the iPhone.

The Pocket PC version allows you to choose from five customisable races with an array of different skills, attributes, weapons, armour and enchantments. You then explore a huge non-linear realm of four different cities and a wilderness of mountains, caves, lakes and forests.

The usual fantasy aspects of the game go quite beyond swords and spells, mind you. Complex alchemy is involved, and your characters can find themselves contracting (often terminal) diseases, battling with dual weapons (anyone recognise Conan’s sword from the attached screenshot? Or is it just me that watches too much telly?) and picking locks.

We’re promised the iPhone version will contain all this and more, and judging by the screenshots it’ll support both portrait and landscape orientation - useful when the battles begin or for when exploration is your primary focus.

Stay tuned for more Quest news as we get it, or you can head over to ClickGamer and check out the PPC version to properly prepare you.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
