Nokia reveals the top selling N-Gage games of 2008
You might be surprised at what's number one
Nokia has released a chart of the top selling N-Gage games in 2008. Unsurprisingly, it’s full of launch and early releases, with no room for the heavyweights released towards the end of year, such as Metal Gear Solid Mobile and Resident Evil: Degeneration.
What is slightly surprising - and pleasantly so - is the identity of the game occupying the number one slot. I would have put my house on Tetris coming out on top (good job I rent), but instead we have the N-Gage exclusive Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep taking the plaudits.
It just goes to show that with a bit of imagination, ambition and care, developers can even topple the mighty cross-platform classics. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone takes the baton and runs with it in 2009.
