PSP2 rumoured for 2010
And not for the first time
According to a snippet of juicy info in this month’s Official PlayStation Magazine, developers are already working on games for the PSP2 with a potential release date of 2010.
Sony’s been denying and avoiding talk of the increasing amount of PSP2, such as chip manufacturers bidding for PSP2 contracts and previous rumours of publishers working on titles for the next generation of handheld system.
The likes of Atari and other developers distancing themselves from any new PSP investments adds weight to the industry suspicion that a new system is on the horizon.
Sony’s been struggling to keep its console’s head above the gaming water everywhere except for the occasional sales anomaly on its native shores, and has even gone as far as to send out public surveys asking punters what features would persuade them to go out and buy another PSP - all subtle road signs pointing toward a new hardware town.
We shall see.
