Need For Speed Undercover iPhone grinds to a halt

Hard to believe it was last August when we first caught wind of EA Mobile bringing Need for Speed Undercover to the iPhone, and we’ve been drumming our fingers since its expected release date of December came and went.

SlideToPlay is now reporting that the game is being pushed back until March, with an EA insider saying:

“…EA plans to launch in early March. EA wants to make sure the game is as polished as possible before release.”

EA, ee ai oh, eh?

To be fair, after seeing the outstanding screenshots of Need for Speed Undercover last year, we’d rather wait for a polished and working version than suffer a stilted one, and it’s good to see EA isn’t succumbing to the App Store trend of releasing an unfinished, bug ridden game and then attempting to fix it on the fly like so many iPhone developers do.

March isn’t too far away, so keep checking back for more Need for Speed Undercover news as we get it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
