Rebel Onslaught storming onto the iPhone
Brand new 3D space shooter coming your way
Game developers really seem to be unlocking the iPhone’s 3D racing/shoot-‘em-up capabilities recently, and Rebel Onslaught from Xen Games looks to be tuning into the handset’s capabilities quite superbly.
The game looks like a modern, high-octane version of the classic SNES game Star Fox, with a variety of terrestrial and cosmic environments for you to blast your way through. Enemy fighters, turrets, bosses and motherships conspire to thwart your efforts in what looks to be a pretty dynamic blast-a-thon.
Rebel Onslaught’s currently going through the approval mangle for the App Store and should be with us anytime. We’ll hopefully have a preview for you shortly, so stay tuned.
