Gameloft’s Oregon Trail picks up Spike TV award
Best Casual Mobile Game of 2008, no less
Gameloft is celebrating today as its strategy/mini-game collection The Oregon Trail picked up the Best Casual Mobile Game of 2008 award at Spike TV’s ceremony.
The VGA celebrates the year’s best PC, console and mobile games, selected by a panel of judges comprising journalists within the gaming industry. The winners were announced live at the VGA awards ceremony in Culver City, California.
“We are honoured to win this coveted award and pleased that The Oregon Trail game continues to excite new audiences on the mobile platform,” said Gonzague de Vallois, Gameloft’s senior vice president of publishing.
“The Oregon Trail is one of our bestselling titles and we are proud to see how players are engaged with its nostalgic, fun and casual gameplay.”
Of course, The Oregon Trail has already bagged itself a prestigious Pocket Gamer Gold Award for its awesome visuals, intuitive music and creative mini-games as you take on the role of a wagon train leader traversing the perilous trail to the Wild West.
