Now you've got to admit, that strapline is some first class comedy. You only get that quality of writing here on Pocket Gamer.

Luckily for us, the web-based smash hit ('smash' is another egg joke) word game Chicktionary has been scrambled up (thank you) and redeveloped for the iPhone.

This egg-ceptional word game features a bunch of chickens each with a letter inside. Your task is to unscramble the roost and create as many words as possible. If you find your feathers getting a bit ruffled, Chicktionary will (omel)let(e) you shake the handset to mix up letters and start afresh.

It doesn't sound all that unlike Countdown, previously featuring Richard White-ley.

Cluck the 'Buy It!' button to be whisked off to the App Store to put Chicktionary in your iPhone basket.

Spanner Spencer
Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
