Pocket Gamer launches dedicated Android section

Regular readers will no doubt be aware that we've been following the Google Android journey for a while. We played the world's first game for Android back in February and continued to report on the format's development; we reviewed T-Mobile's G1 handset, published our first impressions of Android Market, assessed early games Pac-Man and Bonsai Blast, and even told you how to put music on your Android phone.

Why? Well, because we believe Android to have the potential to become an important gaming platform and a key player in the mobile gaming market from 2009, that's why.

But also because we take pocket gaming seriously and are always on the lookout for shiny new avenues for our pastime. So when we see one, as we did with iPhone and the App Store back in July, we rush towards it as fast as our bloated legs will carry us.

Which is a long-winded way of letting you know that we've just launched a dedicated Android section on Pocket Gamer. It's early days, of course, but even now you can expect to be able to read anything and everything Android gaming related within it.
