Squidgy shooter Platypus is out for iPhone

Having given us a sneak peek of it last month, Astraware has now released the iPhone version of its side-scrolling shoot 'em up Platypus.
Already out for smartphones, the game has a distinctive visual look, with claymation-style ships, enemies and scenery. Even the explosions are squidgy splats.
The iPhone version offers a choice of touch or tilt controls, with 20 missions spread across four different settings.
The game is out now for £2.99 on the App Store. "It feels so real you just want to touch it!" says Astraware's Howard Tomlinson. We'll find out if it lives up to its promise when we review the game.
