RealArcade is launching six iPhone games this quarter, including freshly-unveiled action title Tiki Towers, which is being released as an iPhone game, but also on mobile and WiiWare.

VentureBeat has an interesting article on parent firm RealNetworks's gaming strategy, although talk of it "moving into cross-platform mobile titles" is inaccurate, given that RealArcade has been porting games from PC to mobile for some time now.

What is new is the idea of (nearly) simultaneous releases on the various gaming platforms, with Tiki Towers the first title to benefit.

This sort of 'one game, many platforms' strategy was always expected to be RealArcade's trump card - as it is for similar firms like Oberon Media, which now owns I-play.

The news also reinforces iPhone's status as an intriguing battleground where casual firms, mobile developers, console publishers and social games companies are coming together in a battle royale.
