It seems live forever since Dizzy Bee bagged itself a prestigious Pocket Gamer Silver Award – one of the first we ever handed out to an iPhone game. But TouchArcade is reporting that a sequel has been submitted to the App Store hive by Igloo Games.

The sequel will operate around the same premise – using the accelerometer tilt controls to roll an onscreen bee around the flowers, and then to the exit. Enemies will also tumble around the screen in accordance with your tilting – of which there'll be a lot more in Dizzy Bee 2, apparently.

There'll also be around 90 levels including the bonus rounds, and should have done away with the 'too flat!' warnings when holding your iPhone horizontally.

Dizzy Bee 2 should be with us within a week or so, and is pegged for a £1.79 introductory price. We're not sure what the full price will be yet, but click the 'Track It!' button to find out as soon as we do.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
