Most rhythm games are centred around actually 'playing' the music these days, what with Guitar Hero changing the world forever, but Gameloft's new contribution to the genre actually sounds a little more realistic.

Considering the genre started with the dancing games, putting you in charge of the mixing decks seems like a logical, if mostly unexplored (outside of Japanese arcade and console releases), step.

DJ Mix Tour requires you to keep the rhythm pumping and the dance floor humming as you blend together 11 licensed music tracks at a host of crazy club venues.

The screenshots definitely look the part, with the twin-turntables and frenzied dance floor in the background, so if spanking the planks is more appealing to you than sitting in on a Saturday night watching Strictly Come Dancing (and let's be honest, going out for a spot of nice dental torture is preferable to that), then step on the 'Track It!' button for more DJ Mix Tour news as it comes in.

Hey, check out my moves:

Big fish, little fish, big fish, little fish, big fish, little fish.

You know who owns the dance floor, baby.

Spanner Spencer
Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
