There probably aren't that many of us who remember Lemonade Stand – a game that was bundled with the Apple II computer all those years ago. But Maverick Software does, and TouchArcade has picked up on its work developing a version for Apple's new gaming baby, the iPhone.

Lemonade Stand's premise is based around simple yet intriguing economics gameplay - deciding how many glasses to make each day, how much to spend on advertising, and factoring the weather into your calculations (people drink more when it's hot, but bad weather can affect lemon crops) as you attempt to make a bit of pocket money over a 30 day period.

With all-new graphics and iPhone-specific controls, this budget game should hopefully please the retro heads while also supplying casual gamers with a bit of light entertainment.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
