DanceDanceRevolution Mobius on US mobiles

Konami has released an all new addition to the aptly-named DanceDanceRevolution series on major US networks, called DanceDanceRevolution Mobius.

Featuring the classic gameplay you'd expect from the plank-spanking series, along with new songs and even a multiplayer option, Mobius comes at just the right time to capitalise on Guitar Hero Mobile's rhythm-based popularity.

"DanceDanceRevolution Mobius brings a unique experience to the decade-old franchise by allowing fans of music games and DDR to take the game with them wherever they go," said Joe Morris, veep of Konami Mobile. "We have designed a game that embodies similar graphics and motion to the arcade and console versions, making it recognisable to fans of the franchise."

Six new licensed songs have been added to the game's catalogue, which also features a variety of music from previous games and another six downloadable tracks to keep the funk jumping. Hit 'Track It!' for more news as it comes, and hopefully a bit of info about a European release.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
