Gran Turismo is still coming to PSP - honest
Sony boss says they've been busy with other things
The last time we heard anything about Gran Turismo on PSP was back in April this year, when Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi was apologising for the delay, saying the studio was a bit tied up with the PS3 game to work on the PSP one.
Excuses, excuses.
Now Eurogamer has spoken to Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida about the game, and received a similarly gloomy update on it.
When asked where the game is, Yoshida said, "Good question! It's in Polyphony Digital, they're working on it."
He confirms the delay has been caused by Polyphony being busy with other projects, first with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and now Gran Turismo 5 on PS3 and that this has pushed PSP development to the side.
Unfortunately he could shed no light on a release date, saying, "I cannot comment" when quizzed on whether we can expect it next year.
The good news, we guess, is that at least it hasn't been canned. Obviously the bad is that it also doesn't look like it'll be materialising any time soon.
