Research In Motion just added to the buzz around touchscreen mobile gaming with the official unveiling of its BlackBerry Storm handset.

It'll be exclusively available on Vodafone here in Europe (and Verizon Wireless in the US), and claims to be the first ever 'clickable' touchscreen smartphone.

Eh? Well, the screen depresses slightly when pressed, giving more tactile feedback when typing than, say, the iPhone. It also supports multi-touch, dragging, tapping and other touchscreen input.

There's an accelerometer inside, which should enable tilt-based gaming, plus it's got a full web browser, a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, 1GB of internal memory, and a 3.5mm headphone socket.

Vodafone will start selling the device next month, and says it'll be fully compatible with its Vodafone Live portal. That means we should see a decent number of games for the Storm in the coming months.
