iPhone to get Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

Mac publisher TransGaming has announced that it's scooped the iPhone rights to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.

The game will be hitting the App Store this Autumn, with fully touchscreen controls. It's based on the ace DS and PSP game by D3Publisher, which was later released for mobiles by THQ Wireless.

D3Publisher says Puzzle Quest is just the first of its games that'll make the leap to iPhone, with president and CEO Yoji Takenaka describing it as "a platform that D3Publisher looks forward to utilizing to reach a whole new group of gamers with this title and many more to come".

TransGaming hasn't announced if there'll be any new gameplay or features in the iPhone version, so for the moment, we're assuming it'll be the same (excellent) blend of puzzling and RPG elements.
