After Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D and Raging Thunder, Polarbit is rapidly become one of the iPhone's top developers, so it's exciting to discover it's currently working on Apple conversions of two of its previous hits, Wave Blazer and Armageddon Squadron.

Polarbit has confirmed with Pocket Gamer that these two games are in development, with both titles scheduled for a Q4 2008 release. And we're also told both will be multiplayer enabled.

What's even more exciting is the development team are looking at methods to include 'remote multiplayer', allowing gamers to play together over t'internet, rather than requiring them to be connected to the same the same wifi hotspot. So far, this is something of an un-broached subject with iPhone games, so we'll be watching Wave Blazer and Armageddon Squadron's progress very carefully.
