Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle dated for November

A remake of the classic point and click PC adventure Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle was announced for DS (and Wii) last year, but all has been a bit quiet since. Today though, publisher Ascaron announces the game will be released this November.

Runaway follows the adventures of Brain Basco and his girlfriend Gina Timmins who are enjoying a relaxing holiday in Hawaii when - during a visit to Tiki Falls - their plane crashes into the jungle, leaving them uninjured but separated. That's how the game begins, but the story quickly turns into one filled with the likes of soldiers, surfers and even aliens.

On DS, the game is packed with detailed environments that can be explored and zoomed in on using the stylus. The two screens mean you can switch between game screen and inventory easily, and an integrated help system makes the puzzles less frustrating than they were in the original game.

Adventure fans after a bonkers plot and some quirky puzzles, and who've played Phoenix Wright to death, will hopefully be in for a treat. We will, of course, have a review for you nearer to its release.
